During my walk this morning I found something disturbing that looked a bit like the above fellow. I didn't spend that much time examining the specimen as it was rather creepy and I was at the back of the park where the hobos hang out and felt it prudent to keep trucking but got a good enough look to pick him out of a line up. I believe this to be what I found, a black Jerusalem cricket, AKA child of the earth AKA potato bug, AKA... Just a warning though, having spent a good half hour going through bug tales and bug mugshots I have developed terrible phantom creepy crawlies all over and am feeling the need to bathe.
