The new Regina Spektor album Begin to Hope is on my iPod. She's not terribly popular here (not that strange for music I listen to). She kind of reminds me of a cross between Fiona Apple and David Byrne. Her voice is beautiful and delicate but she says some pretty strange things that are a less like pop song lyrics and more like rambling diary entries from someone who indulges in a bit too much caffeine, pot, and wondering analyzation of life. Maybe it makes me think a bit of myself. Despite their strangeness some of her songs have the ability to get stuck in your brain like a fishook which is what you want in an album, right? So add this to your summer soundtrack and you can look cool after everyone else is listening to her in a couple of months.

Hi mere,
My girls already have this CD. My youngest reminds me of you, very artsy and avant garde.
