Yarntopia

Today was the final day of the Fiber Arts Fiesta. I didn't put anything in the show this year but I did drag myself out of bed in time to see the entries in hand knitting and do a little **shopping**. I should have gone earlier because there is a ton of stuff to see. Even if you aren't into lacemaking or quilting those exhibits are incredible. There was some really beautiful work of all types. And of course, the shopping. One favorite which could not be missed was Textiles A Mano (www.textilesamano.com) where Kay, Betty, and I each found ourselves these massive hanks of painted laceweight. Ugh, vibrant! They picked this color for me and I agree that it works, eh? I also picked up some ridiculously expensive mohair locks (not from a mo) to use as monster/critter hair and a couple of little bobbles. So I guess it's time get to work with this new booty and start working on something for the next Fiesta. You should go get started now too.
