Hi Mom

My mom is probably not going to be happy about having her picture on here but that’s tough. I just wanted to say a few things about her today to let her know that even though we are apart I am thinking of her. My mom raised me pretty much by herself, working two or three jobs so I could have it better. She took night classes to get raises at work. My mom taught me how to chop wood and how to use a curling iron. There were times when we didn’t get along very well which probably wasn’t unusual since it was just the two of us living together. There have also been countless times when I have known that she is the only person I can really count on. I guess one of the best things my mom taught me is that I can be myself. She wears Vans sneakers but always wears lipstick. She’s tough as hell but cries every time she watches E.T. So mom, happy Mother’s Day. Thanks for everything. I can’t begin to thank you or credit you for all that you do. Love you.

Thank you , MJ. Thank you for publicly appreciating your mom like this. I wish I had had the chance to do that for my mom. I've learned so much since she died, and what a lousy way to have to learn to appreciate her, huh?
So thank you. As a mom myself, I would fall over if my daughter ever expressed herself like this. Your mother is a very lucky woman to have you. And I for one am so proud of you for loving your mom. It shows in what you said and in the picture.
'Love you, Kid.
